How are 'increased' and 'more' spell damage modifiers calculated? I'd like somebody to tell me how I can calculate stuff like this for the following example: We have a level 20 arc gem (39-738 lightning damage). Blind is a support gem that provides supported skills with a chance to inflict blind, which greatly reduces an enemy's chance to hit for a short duration. Spells do not have a chance to hit, the ability to hit with a spell is unaffected by being blinded. An attacker's chance to hit is the direct opposite of the defender's chance to evade. More power to them I guess. But I really don't see how damage numbers would affect their style. It dose not matter why they think it.they do, thats all there is to it. I know, it's not a big deal, they don't have to explain it nor would I want them to change it because I complained. I was just trying to understand the design reason for it.

How to make rogues more 'fun' to play

And do you guys have something else in mind which makes assassin style rogues more fun to play ? PS: Can anyone mod these btw ? xD -

In a game with no rest spam, damage of spells should be on par with 'impact' because you have a casting time and have to choose the exact spell that party needs in the right time and at right place. All the guys here (*cough. loyal customers.cough*) wanted to play in BG and Torment kind of game. Bring the old magic system back with reduced duration timers and some kind of revamps. But dont make us play the game with this magic system. Its nothin more than a burst damage festival. No need for tactic or what so ever. Save the wizard class!!
